Head of the Oklahoma to Open Alabama’s 2024-25 Season

The Crimson Tide’s first of two fall regattas will take place Saturday in Oklahoma City
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama rowing program will open its 2024-25 season Saturday at the Head of the Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. The event will be the first of two regattas the Crimson Tide will compete in this fall, and the sixth time in program history that Alabama has raced at the Head of the Oklahoma.
UA will compete in three races on Saturday with four crews in the Collegiate 4+ and two in the Collegiate 8+. Before the day is done, the Crimson Tide will also race nine pairs in the Collegiate 2-.
After this weekend, Alabama will return to Tuscaloosa for the Head of the Black Warrior River on Saturday, Nov. 9, in what will be the final event of the fall campaign. The Tide will return to the water in Feb. 2025 for a scrimmage with the Clemson Tigers in Clemson, S.C.
