The Crimson Tide guard proved crucial to Alabama’s offensive explosion in win over Tigers
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Tyler Booker was named Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.
Booker was a key component to the Crimson Tide's 34-0 win over then-No. 21/17 Missouri on Saturday, leading to his first weekly honor this season. The recognition is the second of Booker's collegiate career and becomes Alabama's seventh weekly distinction by the SEC in 2024.
Offensive Lineman of the Week
- Anchored an offensive line unit that powered the Crimson Tide to a dominant 34-0 win over then-No. 21/17 Missouri
- Helped the Tide rack up 486 total yards and 34 points in the top-25 matchup
- Opened holes for the UA backs to rack up 271 yards and four scores on only 37 rushes for a season-high 7.3 yards per carry mark
- Kept Jalen Milroe upright as the Tide finished with 215 yards through the air
- Earned a team-best 97 percent grade from the Alabama coaching staff
- Recorded a team-high 10 knockdown blocks from his left guard position
- Did not allow a sack or pressure following any of his 59 offensive snaps
