Gianna Paul tallied her 12th goal of the season to pace the Crimson Tide in the match

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –– The Alabama soccer team (9-5-5, 2-3-5 SEC) fell, 3-1, to Vanderbilt (9-2-6, 4-2-4 SEC) in the regular season finale on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide struck first after an impressive give-and-go pass between Gianna Paul and Kiley Kukan in the 47^th minute. Vanderbilt, however, would tally a trio of second half goals to secure the win as Ella Eggleston (51^st minute), Caroline Betts (79^th minute) and Courtney Jones (86^th minute) found the back of the net for the Commodores.

With the back of her heel, Paul passed the ball through the legs of her defender to Kukan sprinting down the field
Kukan would send the ball back out wide to Paul, who would drive a low shot across the goal
Five minutes later, Vanderbilt's Eggleston would put pressure on a ball played back towards the Crimson Tide goal, forcing a turnover in the box and securing the Commodores' tying goal
Betts battled down the left side of the field, before cutting the ball towards the center of the box and shooting low, near post for Vanderbilt's second goal of the match
Eggleston won a challenge near midfield before looking up and sending a through ball to Jones to set up a one-on-one situation and the final goal for Vanderbilt
Paul tallied her 12^th goal of the season, moving to third on UA's all-time season goals list, in addition to notching her 28^th career goal
