Alabama Coaching Staff Names Six Players of the Week following Texas Contest

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama coaching staff selected six players of the week following the Crimson Tide's top-15 matchup with then-No. 11/10 Texas last Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kobe Prentice on offense; Deontae Lawson and Malachi Moore on defense; and James Burnip, Kendrick Law and Will Reichard on special teams were all named for their efforts against the Longhorns.

OFFENSE

Kobe Prentice

Caught five of his six targets for a team-leading 68 yards receiving
Converted three first downs with a long reception of 28 on the night

DEFENSE

Deontae Lawson

Finished second on the Tide defense with eight total tackles

Malachi Moore

Recorded five tackles and added one pass breakup in his start

SPECIAL TEAMS

James Burnip

Accumulated 263 yards on five punts against the Longhorns
Averaged 52.6 yards per boot with a career-long 61-yard punt
Pinned the Longhorn offense inside the 20 on three of his kicks

Kendrick Law

Returned one kickoff for a gain of 18 yards
Also contributed on the Tide's coverage units

Will Reichard

Finished with 11 points on the night, converting three field goals to go with a pair of PATs
Hit on his three-point tries from 42, 30 and a season-long 51 yards
Added five kickoffs for a combined 325 yards with four touchbacks
