The Crimson Tide welcomes Central Arkansas, Middle Tennessee and LIU to Rhoads Stadium
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the 18th-straight season, Alabama will host NCAA Regionals at Rhoads Stadium. The Crimson Tide are the No. 5 seed in this year's tournament, welcoming Central Arkansas, Middle Tennessee and LIU to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Scouting Alabama
- Alabama is the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, hosting the Tuscaloosa Regional this weekend welcoming Central Arkansas, Middle Tennessee State and LIU.
- The winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional will advance to Super Regionals next weekend and face the winner of the Evanston Regional featuring No. 12 Northwestern, Kentucky, Miami (OH) and Eastern Illinois
- Alabama is coming off a semifinal appearance at last weekend's SEC Tournament, earning wins over Missouri and tournament host Arkansas before falling to Tennessee
- Ashley Prange and Jenna Johnson were named to the SEC All-Tournament team, with Johnson going 4-for-11 (.364) while Prange was 4-for-7 (.571) with five runs scored, five walks, five RBIs and three home runs
- The Tide placed four on the All-SEC teams announced last Thursday, with Montana Fouts and Prange earning First Team accolades and Johnson and Larissa Preuitt on the Second Team
- Kenleigh Cahalan leads the team with 53 hits, with Ally Shipman close behind with 52 as the pair also owns a combined 30 doubles
- Ashley Prange (50) and Bailey Dowling (49) are next on the team in hits, with the pair leading the team in RBIs (45,43) and home runs (16,8)
- The Alabama pitching staff has a 2.00 ERA with 394.2 innings pitched, led by Montana Fouts at 23-9 with a 1.44 ERA and NCAA-leading 311 strikeouts in 213.1 innings pitched

Alabama at NCAA Regionals
- Alabama has played in every NCAA Tournament since 1999, Patrick Murphy's first year as head coach
- This year marks the 20th time the Crimson Tide has hosted the NCAA Regional round, including an active streak of 18 straight started in 2005 (no tournament in 2020)
- In those 18 consecutive years as a Regional host seed, Alabama has been a top-eight seed 13 times, including each of the last four tournaments

- Alabama went 2-1 at last weekend's SEC Tournament, earning wins over Missouri and Arkansas before falling to Tennessee in the semifinals
- The Crimson Tide fought through a five-hour rain delay prior to Wednesday's opening game against the Tigers and went nine innings on Thursday's win over the host Razorbacks
- Montana Fouts threw her 300th strikeout of the season in the win over Missouri, becoming the third player in program history with two 300 strikeout seasons

Alabama Places Four on 2023 All-SEC Teams
- The Southeastern Conference released its 2023 All-SEC Softball teams last week, with Montana Fouts and Ashley Prange earning First Team honors while Jenna Johnson and Larissa Preuitt were name to the Second Team
- The honor is the fourth of Fouts' career, all First Team accolades, and the second First Team award for Prange in as many seasons with the Crimson Tide
- The recognition is the first for Johnson or Preuitt
