Alabama’s Loudmilla Bencheikh Named Second Team All-SEC Honoree

Bencheikh earned all-SEC honors for the second consecutive year after leading the Crimson Tide from the top of the lineup
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– Alabama's Loudmilla Bencheikh picked up Second Team All-Southeastern Conference women's tennis honors, the league office announced on Thursday. Bencheikh led the Crimson Tide throughout the season, finishing the 2023 campaign ranked in both singles and doubles.
Bencheikh picks up her second all-conference honor after being selected a First-Team honoree last season. Bencheikh is Alabama's 22nd all-time selection for the all-conference Second Team.

- Currently ranked 86th in singles and 37th in doubles after a leading the Crimson Tide throughout the season
- Recorded season-high ranking of No. 32 in doubles
- Has been ranked in the top-40 nationally for doubles since March 21
- Holds a team-leading 18 singles wins, with 12 victories coming while playing at No. 1 in the lineup
- Has won 11 doubles matches, with all 11 wins coming at either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot during the dual season
- Defeated No. 28 Ariana Arseneault (Auburn), No. 34 Celia-Bell Mohr (Vanderbilt), No. 89 Mae Canete (Missouri) and No. 94 Kelly Keller (Arkansas) in singles
- Defeated No. 21 Ariana Arseneault/Carolyn Ansari (Auburn), No. 26 Guillermina Grant/Mai Nirundorn (Georgia), No. 45 Morgan Cross/Indianna Spink (Arkansas), No. 59 Anaelle Leclercq/Ludmila Kareisova (Ole Miss) and No. 63 Carlota Molina/Elizabeth Stevens (Kentucky) in doubles
