Alabama Lands a Pair of Transfers for the 2026-27 Season

Oklahoma State transfer Marcela Lopez and Missouri’s Korina Roso will join the Crimson Tide for the 2026-27 season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head coach Jonatan Berhane announced the additions of Marcela Lopez and Korina Roso to the women's tennis program on Wednesday.
Lopez will enter her senior year with the Crimson Tide during the 2026-27 season after spending time at both Oklahoma State (2024-25) and Utah (2022-24), while Roso will join UA following two years at Missouri for her junior campaign.

- Competed for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls during the 2024-25 season after spending two years at Utah (2022-24)
- Named to the 2025 All-Big 12 Second Team in doubles
- Entering with a total of 31 singles wins and 33 doubles victories
- Defeated Stanford's Chidimma Okpara in OSU's NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance
- Received All-PAC 12 Second Team honors in 2024
- Named the 2023 ITA Mountain Region Freshman of the Year
- Listed as a five-star recruit out of high school (2022)
- Named runner-up in singles and semifinalist in doubles at the ITF J4 Cancun tournament (2021)
Korina Roso | Junior | Missouri | Osijek, Croatia
- Transfer from Missouri where she played two seasons (2024-25 and 2025-26)
- Collected a total of 31 singles victories and 32 doubles wins during her two years with the Tigers
- Played at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in both of Missouri's singles and doubles lineups during the 2026 dual season
- Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team (2025-26)
- Secured wins at the International Tennis Federation J30 Moster Open 18&U in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2023)
- Advanced to 2023 ITF Slovenian Junior Open finals in Slovenia
- Captured the runner-up title of the ITF Hotel Makar Open in Hungary (2023)
