
Incoming Alabama Freshman Naomi Jones Set to Compete in Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Classic

Jones is one of 12 student-athletes selected to represent the state of Alabama in Saturday’s All-Star game
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Incoming Alabama freshman Naomi Jones will compete in the 33rd annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Classic on Saturday. Jones is one of just 12 females selected by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors & Coaches Association All-Star Committee to compete in the elite event. The game is set to tip off at noon CT at South Alabama's Pete Mitchelle Center in Mobile, Ala.
A dynamic forward and multi-time Class 4A first team All-State selection, Jones is a 2023 McDonald's All-American nominee. The four-star recruit is ranked 87th by ESPNW. This season, Jones is averaging 12.8 points per game,11.0 rebounds per game and 3.6 blocks per game to pace Jackson High School in all three categories. She has also tallied 19 double-doubles this season to rank fifth in the state of Alabama, while her 3.6 bpg average ranks fourth.

- Averaged 15.4 points per game, 11 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game her junior year
- Pulled down 107 boards, leading her high school team to a 22-4 record while earning first team AHSAA Class 4A honors
- Sophomore year, she helped lead the Aggies to a 29-3 record and a AHSAA State semifinal appearance
- Averaged 13.2 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game, while tallying 57 blocks sophomore year
- Scored her 1,000th point on Dec. 28, 2021 and earned AHSAA Female Athlete of the Week in Feb. 14, 2022
