Alabama Prepares for NCAA Round of 32 Contest vs. Louisville

The No. 6 seed Crimson Tide will face No. 3 seed Cardinals Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN
LOUISVILLE, Ky.– The No. 6 seed Alabama women's basketball team began its preparation for Monday's NCAA Tournament Round of 32 matchup vs. No. 3 Seed Louisville. Tipoff between the Crimson Tide and Cardinals is set for 11 a.m. CT (12 p.m. ET) on ESPN.
Alabama (24-10) used Sunday afternoon to prepare with a 90-minute practice inside the KFC Yum! Center. Before the practice session, select UA student-athletes Jessica Timmons, Karly Weathers and Diana Collins and head coach Kristy Curry met with media.
The Crimson Tide advanced to Monday's matchup after defeating 11th-seeded Rhode Island, 68-55, on Saturday afternoon. Jessica Timmons and Essence Cody led Alabama as the duo combined for 40 points and eight rebounds. The Cardinals defeated No. 14 seed Vermont, 72-52, to improve to 28-7 overall this season.
A victory over Louisville would give Alabama its first Sweet 16 appearance since the 1997-98 campaign and first under head coach Kristy Curry.
