Cross Country has Another Strong Postseason Showing
Congratulations to our men's and women's cross country teams for another strong postseason. On the women's side, Doris Lemngole ended her rookie campaign with a national runner-up finish at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships, while teammate Hilda Olemomoi logged a top-four finish. The distance duo helped propel the team to a seventh-place team finish. For the men, Victor Kiprop finished in the top 20 of the men's 10K race, while Hillary Cheruiyot clocked a top-100 finish. For their efforts, Doris, Hilda and Victor earned All-America honors!
Soccer Closes out Season in NCAA Second Round
For the third time in program history, our soccer team advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament, this time falling by a 1-0 decision to North Carolina. Always hope to keep playing until the end, but we are proud of the job the team did this season!
Thank-A-Thon
Our student-athletes, coaches and staff are all deeply aware of the impact our donors have on Alabama Athletics. Last week, over 200 student-athletes participated in our ninth annual Thank-A-Thon, taking time to call more than 1,500 Crimson Tide Foundation donors and share their heartfelt gratitude. Our donors play a critical role in ensuring a world-class experience for the 600+ student-athletes we serve, and we are grateful for their loyalty and generosity.
University Spotlight
Over 326,000 pounds of food were collected for the Beat Auburn Beat Hunger food drive, thanks to the Tuscaloosa and University of Alabama communities. Combined, it was another record-breaking year for this event, which is now in its 30th season. Together, we can!
#RollTideFriday
We're headed to Hawai'i for this week's #RollTideFriday photos. First, is the Hill family, and secondly, we have a submission from Paul McGuire.
