Alabama Host Alabama-Huntsville in Exhibition Contest Wednesday

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. CT, and admission is free to the general public
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will host Alabama-Huntsville for its lone exhibition game inside Coleman Coliseum Wednesday night. The preseason tipoff event, Sneakers and Sweets Meet and Greet, will begin following the conclusion of the game.
The exhibition game will not be broadcast on television nor radio.
Fans will be able to get a "first look" of the 2023-24 squad less than a week before the Crimson Tide welcomes Alabama State for the season opener on Monday, Nov. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
Head coach Kristy Curry and the Tide are gearing up for its 49th season as a program and 11th under Curry. Alabama boasts an 11–person roster that includes five returners and six newcomers – three transfers and three freshmen.
ABOUT ALABAMA
- Aaliyah Nye returns for her senior year along with fellow seniors Loyal McQueen, Sarah Ashlee Barker and JeAnna Cunningham and sophomore Karly Weathers
- The Tide picked up two Power 5 transfers – Meg Newman from Arizona State and Jessica Timmons from NC State – along with graduate transfer Del'Janae "Burger" Williams from Indiana State
- Freshmen Essence Cody, Naomi Jones and Reychel Douglas entered the program named by ESPNW as the No. 12 recruiting class nationally. The three will look to make a huge impact on the court for the Tide during the 2023-24 season
THE SERIES
- Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville will meet for the sixth time since 1979
- The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series 5-0
- During the last meeting, Alabama defeated the Chargers, 87-41, at Coleman Coliseum in 2021.
TICKET INFORMATION
Single-game tickets are on sale now including $10 tickets for the men's and women's basketball doubleheaders on both Nov. 6 and Nov. 10. Season tickets are still available until Nov. 6.
