
Alabama Women’s Tennis to Host Annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic This Weekend

The two-day tournament will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team will host the 35th annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic Friday and Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. Competition between 14 different teams will begin at 9 a.m. CT on both days of the tournament.
The Tournament
- Alabama welcomes 14 teams to Tuscaloosa for the two-day tournament
- The Crimson Tide will compete against players from Auburn, Clemson, Chattanooga, East Tennessee State, LSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, Troy, Tulane, Wisconsin and UAB
- The tournament features nine singles draws and four doubles draws
- The event will begin with doubles matches on Friday at 9 a.m. CT
Last Time Out
- Alabama competed in the ITA Southern Regionals Oct. 5-10
- Petra Sedlackova defeated Kinna Graham of LSU (6-0, 2-6, 6-1) to claim the ITA Southern Regional Women's Singles Championship
- Sedlackova and doubles partner Margaux Maquet advanced to the doubles main draw semifinals
- Maquet also advanced to the quarterfinals in the singles main draw
- Freshman Priya Nelson advanced to the Round of 32 in the singles main draw
