Alabama Hosts UAB, Chattanooga in Sunday Double Header

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama men's tennis team (2-0) will continue its homestand to open the spring season by hosting a pair of matches Sunday against UAB and Chattanooga. The Crimson Tide will open the day at 11 a.m. CT against the Blazers, before facing the Mocs at 4 p.m. CT.

About the Tide
- Alabama is in the midst of a 10-game homestand to open the dual match season
- UA will compete in its second doubleheader of the year with Sunday's matches

A Look Back
- Alabama's fall season was highlighted by an ITA National Fall Championship appearance by Aguiard
- The UA sophomore was one of 32 players selected to play in the event
- Aguiard earned a spot at the national championship after winning the ITA Southeast Regional singles title
- The berth to the fall national championship was the third for Alabama since 2018 with Aguiard joining Patrick Kaukovalta in singles (2018) and the duo of Juan Martin and Planinsek in doubles (2021)
- Planinsek and Samofalov both competed at the ITA All-American Championships with Planinsek advancing to the consolation Round of 16 and Samofalov making it to the qualifying Round of 64
- As a doubles pair, Planinsek and Samofalov fell in a three-set battle in the consolation quarterfinals
