Alabama returns to Coleman Coliseum to face the Rebels
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball returns home for its first game in 2023, as the Crimson Tide welcome Ole Miss to Coleman Coliseum. For the fifth straight week, the Tide are ranked in the Top 10 in the AP Top 25 Poll, starting the week ranked No. 7.
The Tide have won three straight games against the Rebels inside of Coleman Coliseum, most recently 82-64 in 2020, as Tuesday's game features two of the best scorers in the Southeastern Conference as Alabama's Brandon Miller ranks No. 1 in the SEC in points per game (19.2) and Ole Miss' Matthew Murrell ranks No. 10 in the conference (14.8).Â
The Broadcast
Tuesday's game is set for an 8 p.m. tipoff and will be aired on the SEC Network with Mike Morgan (play-by-play) and Daymeon Fishback (analyst) on the call and Alyssa Lang on the sideline.
The radio broadcast can be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with Chris Stewart (play-by-play) and Bryan Passink (analyst) on the call, while Tom Stipe (engineer) is turning the dials. The pregame show will begin one hour prior to tipoff.

- Alabama is one of two teams (Arizona) to have two players rank in the Top 50 in the country in rebounds per game with Miller and Clowney ranked No. 45 with 8.8 per game

- Ole Miss began the season with eight wins before the calendar new year for the fourth time under head coach Kermit Davis.
- Senior transfer Jayveous McKinnis is one of four active players with 1,000 career rebounds (1,054) and points (1,133) alongside South Alabama's Kevin Samuel, UNC's Armando Bacot, and Lipscomb's Ahsan Asadullah.
- Coach Davis is tied for 151st all-time in career wins and 29th among active Division-I head coaches
- The Rebels' depth has been on full display to begin the season, as the Ole Miss bench has accounted for over a third of the team's scoring through their first 13 games (37.7%, 339 of 899 points). The Rebs have topped their opponents in bench points in nine of 13 contests, and are outscoring their foes' benches by 129 on the year (339 to 210). Their 26.1 points per game off the bench rank fourth in the SEC.
- Senior transfer Myles Burns is third in the SEC and No. 24 in the NCAA at 2.4 steals per game. Combined with his stats from NAIA Loyola New Orleans, Burns has nabbed 389 steals in his basketball career.
