
Polly Mack Selected to WGCA Player of the Year Watch List

The fifth year is one of 10 finalists for the coaches’ award
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama women's golfer Polly Mack has been named to the watch list for the 2021-22 Women's Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year, it was announced by the organization Thursday. The award will be announced after stroke play at the upcoming NCAA Championships.
The honor comes just four days after she was announced as a top-10 finalist for the ANNIKA Award.

- 2021-22 All-SEC First Team
- Leads Alabama with a 71.1 scoring average through 10 tournaments and 29 rounds
- Recorded 20 rounds of par-or-better, including nine rounds in the 60s
- Recorded a career-best 65 and tied her next-best career low of 66 at the NCAA Franklin Regional
- Team leader in contributing 28 or her 29 rounds to the team score on the season
- Through 10 tournaments, had seven finishes inside the top 10, including three finishes inside the top five and a pair of tournament titles at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic and the NCAA Franklin Regional
- Came back from a T58 placement after the first round at the SEC Championship to a T12 finish, reporting scores of 79-70-69 to climb 46 spots up the leaderboard and lead the Alabama lineup to match play
Mack and the rest of the Alabama lineup will compete at the 2022 NCAA Women's Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 20-25.
