
Polly Mack Named to Final Watch List for 2021-22 ANNIKA Award

The fifth year is one of 10 finalists for the prestigious honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama women's golfer and All-Southeastern Conference First Team selection Polly Mack has been named to the final watch list for the 2021-22 ANNIKA Award, it was announced by the organization Monday.

- 2021-22 All-SEC First Team
- Leads Alabama with a 71.1 scoring average through 10 tournaments and 29 rounds
- Recorded 20 rounds of par-or-better, including nine rounds in the 60s
- Recorded a career-best 65 and tied her next-best career low of 66 at the NCAA Franklin Regional
- Team leader in contributing 28 or her 29 rounds to the team score on the season
- Through 10 tournaments, had seven finishes inside the top 10, including three finishes inside the top five and a pair of tournament titles at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic and the NCAA Franklin Regional
- Came back from a T58 placement after the first round at the SEC Championship to a T12 finish, reporting scores of 79-70-69 to climb 46 spots up the leaderboard and lead the Alabama lineup to match play
Voting opens on May 16 and ends on May 23rd one hour after the completion of the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championships. Current players, coaches, and women's golf SID's are all eligible to vote. Select college golf media are also eligible to vote. The winner will be announced on Golf Channel on Tuesday, May 24th. The winner will receive an exemption into the 2024 Evian Championships.

- Alexandra Forsterling, Arizona State
- Rachel Kuehn, Wake Forest
- Ingrid Lindblad, LSU
- Polly Mack, Alabama
- Natasha Andrea Oon, San Jose State
- Emma Spitz, UCLA
- Rose Zhang, Stanford
Crimson Tide alumna and 2015 NCAA Individual Champion Emma Talley was a finalist for the award in 2015. No Alabama women's golfer has ever won the ANNIKA Award since its inception in 2014.
Mack and the rest of the Alabama lineup will compete at the 2022 NCAA Women's Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 20-25.
