College Station, Texas –– Anne Marie Hiser led the Alabama women's tennis team in its 6-1 loss to No. 7 Texas A&M on Sunday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. Hiser recorded dominate second and third set decisions as she topped Texas A&M's No. 5 singles player, Gianna Pielet 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-0).

With the loss, Alabama falls to 14-7 overall and 4-5 in Southeastern Conference play while the seventh-ranked Aggies move to 24-1 on the season and 10-0 in conference play.

The Aggies captured mirroring 6-1 wins in doubles on courts one and two, respectively, to open the match with a 1-0 start
On court three, Ola Pitak and Kasia Pitak were trailing 3-4 to TAMU's No. 3 doubles pairing of Renee McBryde and Gianna Pielet when the match was clinched
