The fifth year earned her first tournament title last weekend
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Alabama women's golfer Polly Mack has been crowned the Southeastern Conference co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Mack won the first tournament title in her career last weekend, leading wire-to-wire at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The fifth year turned in a 3-under-par 213 tournament total, posting rounds of 70, 74 and 69. She won the tournament title by four strokes, becoming the only player to post an under-par tournament total. Her 3-under-par 69 in the final round also tied for the lowest round of the entire event.
Mack, who is ranked eighth in the country, topped a tournament field that included seven of the top 15 players in the nation, according to Golfstat.
Mack enters the postseason as the only Crimson Tide player to have contributed all 23 of her rounds to the team score.
After the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, Mack moved up to fourth place on Alabama's single-season, scoring-average, all-time list with a 71.30 to date in 2021-22. She capped the season boasting five top-10 finishes.
She shares the co-SEC Player of the Week honor with LSU's Ingrid Lindblad.
