The Crimson Tide fell 4-2 to the Rebels at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center

OXFORD, Miss. –– The Alabama women's tennis team (12-4, 2-2 SEC) fell, 4-2, to Ole Miss (8-5, 2-3 SEC) on Friday at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.

Alabama came-from-behind to win the doubles point against the Rebels for a 1-0 start. Wins on courts four, six and one, respectively, moved Ole Miss out to a 3-1 lead, but Alabama's Petra Sedlackova recorded a three-set victory on court three to make the score 3-2. Ole Miss would emerge victorious from three-set battle on court five to clinch the match.

The Match

Ole Miss opened the match with a 6-3 win on court one but Alabama responded with Kasia Pitak and Ola Pitak taking a 6-4 victory on court three over Ludmila Kareisova and Lillian Gabrielsen
Anna Parkhomenko and Petra Sedlackova topped Anaelle Leclercq and Kelsey Mize moments later with a 6-4 win on court two to clinch the doubles point for the Tide
The Rebels responded with singles wins on courts four, six and one, respectively, to take the lead at 3-1
Sedlackova came-from-behind on court three to win the final two sets and give Alabama its second point
Sedlackova defeated Reka Zadori 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles
However, Ole Miss would clinch the team victory with a three-set victory on court five

Alabama travels to Mississippi State Sunday to face the Bulldogs in a noon CT match at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Center
