
Alabama Rowing Hosts U.S. Naval Academy for Spring Break Scrimmage Tuesday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama rowing returns to the Black Warrior River Tuesday afternoon, competing in a spring break scrimmage against the U.S. Naval Academy starting at 3 p.m. CT.
The Eights will compete in a series of three races of varying distances while the Fours will compete across three 1,000-meter pieces. The 1V8 and 2V8 boats will start things off with a 1,250-meter race at 3 p.m. CT, followed by the same distance for the 3V8, 4V8 and 5V8 boats and then a 1,000-meter race for the Fours. The same series of races will repeat two more times, with the Eights moving down to a 1,000-meter distance in the second session and then to a 750-meter piece to close out the day.
The scrimmage marks the Crimson Tide's second straight competition on the Black Warrior River this spring, previously sweeping Eastern Michigan on Saturday, March 5. Alabama was ranked No. 15 in the preseason coaches poll, with the next poll set to come out on Wednesday, March 16.

- 3:05 – 3V8/4V8/5V8 – 1,250 meters
- 3:10 – 4s – 1,000 meters
- 3:20 – 1V8/2V8 – 1,000 meters
- 3:25 – 3V8/4V8/5V8 – 1,000 meters
- 3:30 – 4s – 1,000 meters
- 3:40 – 1V8/2V8 – 750 meters
- 3:45 – 3V8/4V8/5V8 – 750 meters
- 3:50 – 4s – 1,000 meters
