TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama women's tennis team recorded its ninth consecutive win on Sunday with a 4-2 victory over Minnesota at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The win marks the first time since 2018 that the Crimson Tide has opened the season 9-0. The Gophers drop to 11-2 with the loss.

Alabama opened with the #17 pairing of Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser going 6-2 against Emilee Duong and Ekin Ercetin on court one
Minnesota captured a win on court two, but Alabama followed with a 6-4 victory from Ola Pitak and Kasia Pitak against Lucy Lu and Maria Rizzolo on court three
With the 1-0 advantage, UA turned its attention towards singles play with Petra Sedlackova capturing the Tide's second point with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Rizzolo at No. 3
