BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The University of Alabama women's basketball team will travel to Bryan-College Station, Texas, to meet Texas A&M Sunday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. CT in Reed Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network, with Paul Sunderland and Andrea Lloyd on the call.
The Crimson Tide is 13-11 this season, including 4-9 in the Southeastern Conference and 2-4 in SEC road games. The Tide will look for its second win over the Aggies in the 11-game, all-time series when the two teams square off in in the Lone Star State. Alabama's sole win in that series was Feb. 27, 2020, as the Tide upset the then-No. 12/14 Aggies, 76-63, in Bryan-College Station, Texas. It marked Alabama's second consecutive win over an Associated Press Top 15 team that season.
Alabama is coming off a win to No. 12/8 Tennessee, 74-64, at home last Thursday, its sixth win in the last nine meetings. Megan Abrams scored 27 points and recorded five rebounds, while Brittany Davis tacked on 23 points and six boards. JaMya Mingo-Young stuffed the stats on 10 rebounds, eight points, six steals and five assists.
Abrams, who suffered a slow start to conference action with a series of injury and illness, has combined for 48 points on 51.6 percent shooting (16-of-31) and 13-of-13 from the free-throw line in her last two games.
Since the conference schedule began, Davis has led the team in scoring average (16.7) and in rebounding average (6.9). Abrams follows with 12.4 points per game, while Mingo-Young adds 11.9 points per game.
