TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama women's tennis team moved to 8-0 on the year after defeating Memphis 4-1 in a Friday night match at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility. The Tigers moved to 7-3 on the season with the loss.

In a quick start to the match, the 17^th-ranked pair of Anne Marie Hiser and Loudmilla Bencheikh picked up a 6-0 win over Alisha Reayer and Meredith Jones on court one
Memphis recorded a win on court two to even the attempt for the first point and force the doubles point to be decided on court three
At No. 3 doubles, the Tigers staged a late rally to tie the match at 5-5 but Ola Pitak and Kasia Pitak held on to take a 7-5 win over Camila Romera and Camila Soares

Ola Pitak captured a come-from-behind win to clinch the match for the Tide as she defeated Romero 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2
