Power of Pink, Play4Kay Game: Alabama Women’s Basketball Hosts Kentucky Sunday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – One week after its overtime road win at Vanderbilt, the University of Alabama women's basketball team will look to ride its momentum when it returns home to host Kentucky Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum. The contest, which will serve as its annual Power of Pink and Play4Kay game, will be broadcast on SEC Network, with Eric Frede and Christy Thomaskutty on the call.
The first 250 fans will receive free t-shirts and the first 400 fans will receive free shakers.
Tickets to the conference contest start at just five dollars, while both single game tickets and season tickets are on sale now online or fans can call the TIDE PRIDE/Athletic Ticket office at 205-348-BAMA. Masks are strongly encouraged for all spectators.
Free parking is available to fans in the large parking lot adjacent to Coleman Coliseum.
The Crimson Tide is 12-10 this season, including 3-8 in the Southeastern Conference and 1-4 in SEC home games. Alabama will look to ride its momentum after pulling out an overtime win against Vanderbilt, 77-71, in Nashville, Tenn., last Sunday. It marked the Tide's second SEC road dub of the season and allowed it to rise to 10th in the current league standings.
Brittany Davis fired off her second straight 20-plus point game against the Commodores, recording 25 points, nine rebounds and a couple of assists and steals in Music City. The senior is averaging 18.6 points over the last eight games, which featured five 20-plus point performances in that timeframe. JaMya Mingo-Young added 20 points, six rebound and six steals to the Crimson Tide's effort.
Since the conference schedule began, Davis has led the team in scoring average (16.5) and in rebounding average (7.1). Mingo-Young follows with 11.9 points per game, while Abrams adds 10.1 points per game.
