Alabama Women’s Basketball Returns Home To Host Gardner-Webb Sunday

The Crimson Tide will tip off against the Runnin’ Bulldogs at 2 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After a four-game stretch on the road, the Alabama women's basketball team returns home to host Gardner-Webb in a 2 p.m. CT tip on SEC Network+.

About the Tide
- The Crimson Tide returns home after four consecutive games on the road, including a two-game tournament in Nassau, Bahamas
- Alabama's upset attempt against No. 17 Utah fell shy last Monday as Alabama lost 93-86 in the opening round of the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship
- The Tide would rally on Wednesday, taking a 61-58 victory over Wake Forest to conclude the tournament
- Brittany Davis tallied 35 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the tournament to lead the Crimson Tide
- Megan Abrams averaged 14.5 points a game on her way to 29 points for the week as Loyal McQueen and Aaliyah Nye both averaged 10.0 points a game
- Davis has scored double-figures in four out of five Alabama's games this season, while Abrams has tallied double-digit scoring in three of the Tide's games including both tournament contests
- In UA's last outing, the Crimson Tide rallied for a huge third quarter performance to take a 61-58 win over the Demon Deacons
- The contest saw 11 lead changes and six ties in the game, including six lead changes in the fourth quarter
- The difference in the game came down to free throws as both the Tide and the Deacs made 23 field goals and five three pointers
- Alabama shot 10-of-17 from the free throw line while Wake Forest made 7-of-12 from the charity stripe

- Gardner-Webb was picked as the Big South Conference favorite as the team returns four starts and 91.2 percent of its scoring from last year's Big South semifinalist team
- After starting the year with a loss to Clemson, the Runnin' Bulldogs have won four straight games
- The team is coming off a recent 91-87 win against College of Charleston, led by a 23-point, 13-rebound game from Jhessyka Williams
- Alasia Smith was named the Big South Player of the week after posting back-to-back doubles-doubles for GW to average 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 2.5 blocks against Furman and Georgia Southern
- The Runnin' Bulldogs rank 11th in turnovers forced per game (26.00) and 13th in turnover margin (9.80)
