No. 1 seed Alabama Soccer Hosts Jackson State In First Round of NCAA Tournament

The Crimson Tide will host its first NCAA Tournament game in program history when it welcomes the Tigers to Tuscaloosa Friday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Serving as host for the first time in program history, No. 1 seed Alabama soccer (19-2-1) will make its fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament on Friday when it welcomes Jackson State to the Alabama Soccer Stadium. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
The Game
- Jackson State (11-7-1, SWAC Tournament Champions): Friday, Nov. 11 – 6 p.m. CT, on ESPN+

Tickets
- The first 200 Alabama students will receive free admission to tomorrow's game
- College students may pick up their ticket at Coleman Coliseum beginning at 9 a.m. CT
- Tickets are $10 for Adult General Admission and $5 for Youth General Admission
The Tide At The NCAA Tournament
- Alabama earned a No. 1 seed for the first time in program history
- UA earned its second consecutive berth to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history and its fifth overall appearance in the tournament
- The Tide made history last season, winning its first NCAA Tournament game with a 1-0 victory against Clemson in the first round
The Journey
- Alabama has won a program record 19 games this year thanks to the help of a 15-game run by the Tide
- That run included a perfect 10-0 performance in SEC action
- UA is currently riding a 16-game undefeated streak at the Alabama Soccer Stadium when the team kicks off on Friday, with the last loss coming on Sept. 9, 2021 (lost 2-1 vs. TCU)
- Alabama advanced to the finals of the SEC Tournament for the second time in program history and first time since 1995
- This season marked the first time UA has defeated five ranked opponents and three top-10 teams in program history, topping then-No. 5 South Carolina, then-No. 6 BYU, then-No. 7 Arkansas, then-No. 18 Clemson and then-No. 20 Ole Miss
History Made
- Alabama will host its first ever NCAA Tournament game after earning a No. 1 seed for the first time in program history
- UA advanced to the SEC finals for the second time in program history and first time since 1995
- The Tide set program records for most wins in a single season recording its 19th this season, and most consecutive wins with 15 victories on the year
- Alabama set the school record for most shutouts in a season, holding 11 opponents scoreless this year
- UA clinched its first SEC regular season championship, finishing the season undefeated in conference with a 10-0 SEC record
- The Crimson Tide is the first team to go undefeated in conference play since South Carolina put together an 11-0 run in 2016
- Alabama's win over Mississippi State (10/20) secured UA the top seed in the SEC Tournament and clinched the West Division title for the first time in 24 years and fourth time in program history
- Alabama has topped a program-record five ranked foes in then-No. 5 South Carolina, then-No. 6 BYU, then-No. 7 Arkansas, then-No. 18 Clemson and then-No. 20 Ole Miss
