
Volleyball Continues Road Stretch with Two Matches at Ole Miss

Friday’s contest between the Crimson Tide and the Rebels will air live on the SEC Network
OXFORD, Miss. – Alabama volleyball is back on the road this weekend, heading to Oxford, Miss., for a pair of matches against Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide and Rebels open the weekend series Friday at 7 p.m. CT live on the SEC Network before concluding Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.

Scouting Alabama
- Alabama is back on the road for a pair of matches at Ole Miss, facing the Rebels Friday at 7 p.m. CT and Saturday at 4 p.m. CT
- Friday's contest will be the second of five televised matches this year for the Crimson Tide, airing live on the SEC Network
- After this weekend, Alabama will be back home for its next three straight, its longest string of home matches since the season-opening Crimson Tide Invitational

- After falling in the first two sets, Alabama volleyball avoided the sweep with a third set win over 18th-ranked Kentucky on the road Saturday, but the Wildcats closed out the match in the fourth to defeat the Crimson Tide, 3-1
- The third set win was Alabama's first over Kentucky since Nov. 8, 2017 in Tuscaloosa and its first in Lexington since earlier that season on Oct. 6, 2017
- Kendyl Reaugh led the team with 12 kills, extending her streak to six-straight matches with 10+ kills
- Brooke Slusser earned her sixth double-double of the season with 33 assists and 10 digs
- Laila Smith led the team with seven blocks, tying her previous career high set earlier this season against Central Arkansas (Sept. 3)
- Micah Gryniewicz stuffed a season-best four blocks and was one dig shy of her season high at 10
Alabama Aces
- Alabama leads the SEC in service aces as a team (118, 1.97/set) while Abby Marjama (35, 0.63/set) leads the individual rankings
- The Tide is one of two SEC teams with over 100 aces, 14 more than second-place Auburn with 104
- After Marjama's 35 aces, the next-highest individual total in the league is 23
- Nationally, the Crimson Tide is 14th in total aces 16th in aces-per-set
- Marjama is fifth nationally in total aces and 11th in aces-per-set
