
Alabama Takes on Ole Miss in Oxford Thursday

OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Alabama women's basketball team will square off against RV/RV Ole Miss at SJC Pavilion in Oxford, Miss., Thursday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network Plus, with Will Kollmeyer and Lindsay King on the call.
The Crimson Tide is 10-5 this season, including 1-2 in true road games, 1-3 in the Southeastern Conference and 0-2 in SEC road games. Alabama is coming off a loss at then-No. 15/14 Georgia, 72-68, in Stegeman Coliseum last Sunday. Brittany Davis logged 18 points on 6-of-9 from the arc, setting a career high with six 3-pointers. Four players had a double-digit game, as Taylor Sutton (13), Hannah Barber (12) and Jada Rice (10) rounded out the foursome.
Alabama knocked down a season-high 14 three-point field goals in the game, one shy of the program record. It marked the Crimson Tide's second straight game sinking 10-or-more from long range, helping UA rank second in the conference and 44th nationally in three-point field goals per game (8.0).
Pacing the team and the SEC in three-point field goals per game is Davis (2.4), while she also has led the team in scoring average (15.0) and rebound average (7.1) all season.
