
Crimson Tide Drops Road Test at RV/RV Rebels

Alabama returns home to host Florida for Alumnae Day Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum
OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Alabama dropped to RV/RV Ole Miss, 86-56, in Oxford, Miss., Thursday. The Crimson Tide fell to 10-6 (1-4), while the Rebels improved to 14-2 (2-1).
Brittany Davis scored a team-high 20 points against the top scoring defensive team in the Southeastern Conference, connecting on 6-of-13 from the field, to lead the Crimson Tide in scoring for the second straight game. Davis added a team-high seven rebounds and two assists to her stat line. Coming off the bench, Khyla Wade-Warren contributed 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting in the game. Hannah Barber and JaMya Mingo-Young added eight points apiece.
Ole Miss (32-of-67) had 20 more shot attempts than Alabama (18-of-47), as it forced the Crimson Tide into committing 21 turnovers and scoring 26 points off those miscues, nearly the difference in the game. Alabama trailed Ole Miss in rebounds, 39-30, pulling down just nine off the glass in the second half.

- The Rebels led the Crimson Tide, 22-12, at the end of the first quarter, as Angel Baker capped the frame with a last second layup.
- Ole Miss had four more shot attempts than Alabama in the first quarter, shooting 58.8 percent on 10-of-17 shooting, while the Crimson Tide shot 46.2 percent on 6-of-13 shooting.
