Alabama football wore shells during its evening practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football program took part in a morning walkthrough and an evening practice on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields Friday, less than 24 hours before participating in the first scrimmage of fall camp.

The walkthrough and practice were the seventh and eighth in a series of 27 for the team, while the Crimson Tide dressed in helmets and pads for its evening practice. Alabama is a quarter of the way through fall camp, three weeks before the team travels to Atlanta, Ga., to square off against Miami (Fla.) on Sep. 4. The two teams will meet inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, with the meeting set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
