EUGENE, Ore. – The Alabama track and field program has 13 current and former student-athletes set to converge on Eugene, Ore., over the next 10 days to take part in the United States Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field.
The venue will be familiar to most of the Crimson Tide's group after serving as a frequent home to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, including just a week ago, when Alabama's women finished fourth and the men 13th in the team standings.
Those competing at this year's trials include 2021 NCAA champion Robert Dunning (110-meter hurdles) and 2021 NCAA Championships 100 and 200 meters medalist Tamara Clark.
Head Coach Dan Waters Said
"The Olympic Trials is a really special meet and I'm super proud to have so many of our current and past athletes competing over the next 10 days. There were so many questions going back to last spring about athletics in general and the Olympic in particular due to COVID-19, so I think we're all just really excited to get to this point. I can't wait for the meet to get started and see what Alabama can do on such a huge stage."
