Making it to the Show
As we enter the homestretch of what has proven to be an extraordinary 2020-21 season, 17 of our 21 teams have advanced to the national postseason, including the College Football Playoff and 16 NCAA berths. Rowing earned its first trip to nationals, while our men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are at the NCAA East Preliminary and softball will host the NCAA Super Regional at Rhoads Stadium this weekend. Speaking of softball and the postseason, Pat Murphy's squad extended its NCAA-record 43 consecutive regional wins and remains the only program to advance to every NCAA Super Regional since the format's inception. We are proud of the progress and performances of our teams and look forward to more success in the future. Â

See you there!
Baseball Heads to Hoover for SEC Tournament
Our baseball team begins postseason play Tuesday with the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament where we will face South Carolina in the second game of the day. The winner of Tuesday's game will advance on to the double-elimination portion of the bracket and will face Tennessee on Wednesday. All games will be broadcast on the SEC Network leading up to Sunday's championship, which will air live on ESPN2. Proud of Coach Bohannon and the entire team and wish them the best in Hoover!
Men's Tennis at Final Stop of 2021 Season with NCAA Individual Championships
We are proud of our three men's tennis student-athletes representing Alabama in Orlando this week for the NCAA Individual Championships, which are being played at the USTA National Campus. This afternoon, Patrick Kaukovalta and Riccardo Roberto take the court in the doubles round of 32. Yesterday, Edson Ortiz fell in a tough three-setter in the singles draw to end his impactful college career.
Classroom Champions
In addition to winning four more Southeastern Conference team titles to our total this spring, along with countless individual honors, our student-athletes also enjoyed another amazing semester in the classroom. Women's tennis led all program with a 3.82 team grade point average, while men's tennis notched a 3.68 to all of our men's teams. Overall, 10 of our programs posted team GPAs of 3.5 or better, with 17 averaging better than a 3.00. Individually, 125 of our student-athletes earned a 4.0 in the spring, while 270 earned a 3.5 or better. We are extremely proud of our success in the realm of athletics, and even more so when it comes to the ongoing success Alabama Athletics demonstrates in the classroom.
University Spotlight
More awards to celebrate for The University of Alabama as one student received a Fulbright Student Research Award and three additional students won Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Awards for the upcoming academic year. Congratulations to Malik Seals, Lindsey Drost, Logan Fenhouse and Natasha Stevanovich on this incredible honor and to UA for its national recognition as a Top Producing Institution for Fulbright U.S. Students for five of the last six years.
#RollTideFriday
With the weather starting to heat up here I figured we'd pull some water photos from the #RollTideFriday vault. Our first submission is from Brent Enchiff and Vince Mata in Lucerne, Switzerland and secondly, a submission from Jake at Niagara Falls.
