Alabama Women’s Golf Continues Spring Slate at LSU

The Crimson Tide will continue their spring slate on Tuesday morning at The University Club
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 23rd-ranked Alabama women's golf team will continue its spring season Tuesday and Wednesday in Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The event will be a two-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by LSU at The University Club.
The University Club will play as a par-72, 6,350-yard layout. The tournament will feature 36 holes on Tuesday followed by the final 18 holes Wednesday.
About Alabama
- The Crimson Tide finished 11th at the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate after placing 10th in the Gamecock Intercollegiate.
- UA's play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate was highlighted by Benedetta Moresco 2-over par (68-78-74/220) overall tournament score, which placed her tied for 10th in the field. It was Moresco's third consecutive top-ten finish.
- This is the final time this spring that Alabama will compete before the SEC Championships, beginning April 14th.
Conquering the Course
- Overall, eight of the 14 teams in the field are ranked in the Top 25 on Golfstat.com Team Rankings including five that are in the top 10
- The field consists of 11 SEC opponents, six of which are ranked in the Top 25 on Golfstat.com.
- Among the 14 participating teams are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Pepperdine, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
Leading the Lineup
- The lineup this week will feature Benedetta Moresco, Caroline Curtis, Polly Mack, Kenzie Wright, and Angelica Moresco. Emilie Øverås will be competing as an individual for the Crimson Tide.
