
Alabama Women’s Golf in Eighth After Two Rounds at LSU Tiger Golf Classic

Benedetta Moresco and Kenzie Wright paced the Tide in 36 holes of play
BATON ROUGE, La. – The 23rd ranked Alabama women’s golf team played 36 holes Tuesday to complete the first two rounds of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The Crimson Tide is in eighth place at 593 after posting a team score of 13-over par 301 in the first time around the course and a 4-over par 292 in the second round of play.
The Tide is 25 strokes off the tournament leader LSU, who turned in a two-round score of 9-under par 567.
Individually, Benedetta Moresco sits in a tie for fourth place with a 142, two strokes behind Carla Tejedo Mulet of LSU and Hannah Levi of Mississippi State.
Leading the Lineup
- Benedetta Moresco carded nine birdies in two rounds to put herself in a tie for fourth place
- She leads the tournament in scores on par 4s, averaging 3.70 per hole
- Kenzie Wright posted seven birdies in her second round to lead the team at 2-under par
- Competing as an individual, Emilie Øverås sits in a tie for 18th after posting eight birdies through two rounds
- Angelica Moresco is tied for 39th after recording consecutive 3-over par 75s
- She ranks third in the field in scores on par 5s, averaging 4.50 per hole
- Polly Mack is 11-over par through two rounds of play
- Caroline Curtis is in 70th place after posting a 12-over par 84 and a 5-over par 76
