The Crimson Tide will send six crews to race across two days at Harsha Lake
BETHEL, Ohio – Seventh-ranked Alabama rowing will send six crews to Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio this weekend for the Big 10 Invitational, with two days of racing starting Saturday, April 17.
The Crimson Tide will send a pair of 4 boats and four 8 boats, each of which will race three times over two days of competition. The event will be split into a Saturday morning session, Saturday afternoon session and Sunday morning session. Alabama will race against seven Big 10 teams in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers, Michigan State, Iowa and Indiana in addition to Tennessee, Notre Dame, Virginia, Louisville and Duke.
Alabama heads into this weekend ranked No. 7 nationally, its highest mark in program history, after a strong showing at last weekend's Lake Las Vegas Pac-12 Women's Invitational. Against a strong field, the Tide posted a slew of strong performances including a big win in the First Varsity 4+ against fifth-ranked Cal. Alabama will race its same 1V4+ lineup this weekend as well as its 1V8+ and 2V8+ crews from last weekend in Nevada.
FROM HEAD COACH GLENN PUTYRAE
