
Alabama Women’s Golf Concludes Play at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

The Crimson Tide finished the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in 11th place
ATHENS, Ga. – The 19th-ranked Alabama women's golf team carded a final-round 302 to finish in 11th place Sunday at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on the par-72, 6,287-yard University of Georgia Golf Course.
As a team, the Crimson Tide posted rounds of 296, 314 and 302 to finish 11th with a 54-hole ledger of 912. South Carolina posted a tournament score of 881 (293-287-301) to bring home the tournament title. Individually, Benedetta Moresco led the Tide through the weekend with a tournament score of 220 (68-78-74) and finished in a tie for 10th place. Ingrid Lindbald of LSU led from wire to wire to claim the individual tournament title.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Benedetta Moresco recorded her third consecutive top 10 finish after carding a 2-over par 74 in the final round.
- The rookie finished third in the field in birdies, tallying 12 on the weekend.
- Despite a few hiccups, Caroline Curtis carded five birdies on her way to shooting a 3-over par 75.
- Polly Mack was steady in the final round, posting a 4-over par 76.
- Angelica Moresco and Kenzie Wright both turned in a 5-over par 77 in their final time around the course.
