
Alabama Volleyball Defeats Tennessee in Four Sets Friday in Tuscaloosa

After falling in the first set, the Crimson Tide won three-straight to defeat the Lady Vols
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After falling in the opening set, 25-16, Alabama volleyball rallied to win the next three over Tennessee by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-15 to win the match, 3-1.
The win was Alabama's (7-12, 7-12 SEC) fifth this season when losing the first set and the 25-15 fourth-set win over Tennessee (9-8, 9-8 SEC) was the Crimson Tide's largest set victory of the season. It snaps a three-match winning streak in the series by the Lady Vols, giving Alabama its first win over Tennessee since 2017.
Alabama hit .263 as a team, its third-highest clip of the season, and held the edge over Tennessee in kills, 52-44, assists, 45-39, and digs, 51-35. Individually, Kennedy Muckelroy led all players with 17 kills, tying her career high. The Tide's two setters each tallied double-doubles, with Riley Fisbeck earning 20 assists and 15 digs and Emily Janek tallying 13 assists and 10 digs. Fisbeck has now earned a double-double or triple-double in six-straight matches, pushing her season total to a team-leading eight.
