Women’s Golf Stays in Florida for the Gators Invitational

The Crimson Tide travels to Gainesville for its second tournament of the spring
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 20th-ranked Alabama women's golf team travels down to Gainesville for the second tournament of the spring for the Gators Invitational.
The event will be a three day, 54-hole tournament hosted by the University of Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
About Alabama
- The Crimson Tide wrapped up the first tournament of the spring slate after placing ninth in the Moon Golf Invitational.
- UA's play was highlighted by Polly Mack's 8-under par 208 (72-70-66) overall tournament score, which placed her tied for third in the field.
Conquering the Course
- The Florida Gators Invitational is nearly 50 years old. The Mark Bostick Golf Course, a Donald Ross design, will play at 6,002 yards, a par 70.
- The 14-team field includes eight SEC teams. Alabama is joined by tournament host Florida, along with Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Mississippi State. Non-conference opponents include UCF, Miami, Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State and Campbell.
Leading the Lineup
- The lineup this week will feature Polly Mack, Bendetta Moresco, Caroline Curtis, Kenzie Wright and Emilie Øverås
The Crimson Tide will be paired with Miami and UCF for the first round, teeing off at 8:20 a.m. CT from No. 1 on Sunday. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
