Polly Mack paced the Crimson Tide in the first round of action on Sunday
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Alabama women's golf team is tied for fifth place at the end of the first round of the Gators Invitational at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Alabama posted an 11-over-par 291 at the conclusion of play in the first round. UCF is atop the team leaderboard after shooting 3-over par 283 and holds a three-stroke lead over Tennessee (286). Mack is four-strokes off the individual leader Annabell Fuller of Florida, who notched a 3-under par 67 in the opening round.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Polly Mack led the way for the Tide posting three birdies to finish 1 over-par 71 and sits tied for ninth.
- Rookie Benedetta Moresco finished tied for 21st after scoring a 3 over-par 73.
- Emilie Øverås was steady in round one and scored 3 over-par 73 and sits tied for 21st
- Caroline Curtis shot a 4-over par 74 in her first trip around the course
- Kenzie Wright is tied for 47th at 6-over par 76

The tournament will continue through Tuesday. Play is set to continue with a 7:30 a.m. CT start. On Monday, Alabama will be paired with Ohio State and Maryland.
