
Benedetta Moresco Leads the Tide Through Day Two of the Gators Invitational

The rookie recorded four birdies in the second round on Monday
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Freshman Benedetta Moresco fired a 3-under par 67 on Monday to lead Alabama on the second day of the Gators Invitational at the par 70, 6,002-yard Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Alabama improved by four strokes from the first round, notching a round two score of 7-over par 287. The Crimson Tide are tied for fifth place at 18-over par 578 (291-287) headed into Tuesday's third and final round.
Ole Miss holds the second-round lead in the team standings with a 12-over par 572 after carding a 1-under-par 279 on Monday. Anna Nordfors of Campbell, Aneka Seumanutafa of Ohio State and Virunpat Olankikunchai of Maryland are all knotted at two-under par to lead the individual standings with the Tide's Benedetta Moresco two shots back at even-par 140.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Benedetta Moresco moved up the individual leaderboard after making four birdies to finish three-under par 67 in the second round.
- Caroline Curtis and Kenzie Wright are both at a two-day score of 6-over par 146, tied for 22nd.
- Polly Mack sits tied for 41st after posting an 8-over par 78 in the second round.
- Emilie Øverås rounded out play for Alabama and finished tied for 59th place on the day.

The Crimson Tide will return to the Mark Bostick Golf Course on Tuesday morning for the final round of competition and have a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT. Alabama will be paired with Miami and tournament host Florida for the final 18.
