Alabama Men’s Tennis Blanks Tennessee Tech in Saturday Doubleheader

The Crimson Tide opened the day with a 7-0 win over the Golden Eagles before closing with a 4-0 win in the nightcap

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team took a pair of victories off Tennessee Tech Saturday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala. With the wins, Alabama goes 8-2 on the season, while the Golden Eagles fall to 0-3.

The two teams played out the first match to a 7-0 finish, while Alabama clinched the second match, 4-0. It marked Alabama's first matches since downing Tulane and Chattanooga in a doubleheader on Jan. 29.

"This was a much-needed day of competition after a pair of cancellations last weekend. I was really happy the way they prepared themselves to compete today. The challenging and much anticipated SEC season is now in front of us. Our success will be based on each player's commitment in practice and their ability to keep pushing the envelope with one another in competition."
