Riccardo Roberto picked up a singles win at No. 4, while Alexey Nesterov and Edson Ortiz won at No. 3 doubles
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 23-ranked Alabama men's tennis team fell at No. 11 Florida, 6-1, Friday afternoon in Gainesville. The match, the Southeastern Conference opener for both squads, was played indoors due to weather.
Riccardo Roberto notched a straight-set singles victory, 7-6, 6-1, at No. 4. Alexey Nesterov and Edson Ortiz picked up a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. Individual matches were tight throughout with six sets going to a tiebreaker and another going to 7-5.
