No. 6 Alabama Gymnastics Travels to No. 13 for Friday Showdown

ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 6 ranked Alabama gymnastics team faces off against No. 13 Georgia on the road in Stegeman Coliseum Friday at 5 p.m. CT. The meet will kickoff a triple header on the SEC Network with Alicia Sacramone-Quinn and John Roethlisberger calling the action.

Both teams are coming off a bye week and are in the midst of an eight-meet, Southeastern Conference only regular season. The Tide is 4-0 heading into the meet, having last competed on Jan. 29 on the road with a win against Kentucky (196.775-196.400). The Bulldogs are 1-3 on the season, falling to Arkansas (196.875-195.950) in their last meet on January 29th.

Alabama Head Coach Dana Duckworth said

"We're coming off a bye week and it was nice to be able to give the ladies a couple of days off after the Kentucky meet. From there, we really made it a work week ... working on the details and focusing on every spot where we can add depth and every place where we can get an extra half-a-tenth back for our score. The ladies have been very focused and have been working very hard."

No. 6 Alabama (4-0) heads back on the road to face No. 13 Georgia (1-3) at 7:30 p.m. CT in Stegeman Coliseum
Alabama is 27-2 against the Bulldogs in all meetings since 2010 and 4-1 in Athens
Duckworth is 15-1 against the Bulldogs as a head coach, including a 7-0 mark in regular-season meetings
