Rogers was selected to the conference team for the second-consecutive year
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama soccer's Kat Rogers was named to Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday.
A leader for the Crimson Tide both on and off the field, Rogers is a four-year member of Alabama's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Through SAAC, she has worked with several community organizations and events including Alabama's Halloween Extravaganza and Project Angel Tree – two events that benefit children and their families within the West Alabama area. Additionally, Rogers is helping with Beat Auburn Beat Hunger, an event that supports local food banks.
Prior to this year, Rogers served as community service chair for SAAC and helped with the Alberta Head Start Back to School Drive as well as a Night to Shine. During the 2020-21 school year, Rogers sent letters of appreciation to UA staff members during the pandemic.
On the field, Rogers is co-captain for the 2021 season. She is tied for the team lead in assists with three, contributing the winning pass to Alabama's game-winning goal against Kentucky and its lone goals against Ole Miss and then-No.7 Arkansas. Over her career, she has tallied seven goals and 10 assists for 24 points.
Rogers and the Crimson Tide conclude the regular season Thursday as the team competes against Auburn. The home game is schedule for 7 p.m. CT at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
