The Crimson Tide picked up the doubles point for the third match in a row, before going on to win four of six singles matches to score its third dual-match win in a row
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's tennis got the weekend off to an early start Thursday afternoon, downing South Florida by a score of 5-2. The Crimson Tide is now 3-0 on the young season, while the Bulls drop to 0-2.
After taking the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3, Anne Marie Hiser earned the Tide's first singles win at No. 5. Anna Parkhomenko then won at No. 4, before the Bulls won at No. 6, Moka Ito then put the match away with a victory at No. 1. Alabama picked up its final point of the day at No. 2 singles, where Alba Cortina Pou earned the win.
Ito, Cortina Pou, and Parkhomenko are 3-0 in dual match singles competition, with Ito and Cortina Pou tallying all three wins in straight sets.

"The girls competed hard today and got better. We played a solid doubles point and took that momentum into our singles matches. Our goal is to improve with each match and continue gaining confidence. Today Bama took a step forward."
