Alabama Women’s Tennis Reveals Spring Schedule

The Crimson Tide opens its 2021 slate on Jan. 23 with a dual match doubleheader at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team revealed its spring schedule on Thursday. The Crimson Tide opens 2021 with a dual match doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility against in-state rivals UAB and Alabama State.
In all, Alabama is slated to play 23 dual matches, including 16 at home. The Tide opens its 2021 slate with 10 straight non-conference opponents, playing them all in Tuscaloosa. Following a 13-match conference schedule, Alabama will play host to the Southeastern Conference tournament April 19-23.

We have a renewed perspective and appreciation for the season and the ability to play competitive collegiate tennis. We have a lot of great home matches to help prepare our team for the ambitious SEC season. A big thanks goes out to all that have worked tirelessly to provide our team the chance to play a spring season. The leadership at Alabama and at the helm of the SEC with Greg Sankey are commendable and have positioned the SEC to be at their best in an unprecedented time."
Other Notes on the 2021 Spring Season
- The Tide will play a pair of doubleheaders in 2021, including UAB and Alabama State on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Kennesaw State and Alabama A&M on Saturday, Jan. 30
- Other non-conference matches include South Florida (Jan. 28), North Alabama (Feb. 2), Memphis (Feb. 5), Furman (Feb. 6), Tulane (Feb. 12) and TCU (Feb. 14)
- Alabama's 13-match SEC slate starts off with Florida (Feb. 19) and closes at Tennessee (April 10)
- The Tide's home SEC matches includes Florida (Feb. 19), South Carolina (Feb. 21), Ole Miss (March 11), Mississippi State (March 13), LSU (April 1) and Texas A&M (April 3)
- SEC road matches for Alabama include Kentucky (Feb. 26), Vanderbilt (Feb. 28), Auburn (March 6), Missouri (March 26), Arkansas (March 28), Georgia (April 8) and Tennessee (April 10)
- The NCAA Regional Championships are scheduled for May 8-9 with the NCAA team and individual championships set for May 20-29 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla.
