
Women’s Basketball Set to Host No. 23/24 Tennessee on Sunday

Sunday’s contest to serve as 10th annual We Back Pat game
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Crimson Tide women's basketball team (11-1, 4-1 SEC) returns home after a pair of Southeastern Conference road wins to host No. 23/24 Tennessee (8-2, 2-1 SEC) on Sunday in Coleman Coliseum. The game will serve as Alabama's We Back Pat event for the season, helping to raise awareness in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

OPENING TIP
- Alabama recorded its 11th win of the season and sixth in as many attempts on the road Thursday when it won at No. 14/14 Mississippi State, 86-78.
- With the win, the Tide won back-to-back games against the Bulldogs for the first time since the 2013 and 2014 seasons and recorded consecutive wins in Starkville for the first time since 1997 and 1999.
- Alabama is led by its trio of seniors in Jasmine Walker, Jordan Lewis and Ariyah Copeland. Each averages double-digit points with Walker at 20.0 ppg, Lewis at 16.4 ppg and Copeland at 15.3 ppg, while Walker also pulls in a team-best 10.1 rebounds per contest.
- The Tide is one the only program in the SEC and one of only six in the nation to boast three scorers that average 15.0+ points per game.
- As a team, Alabama is averaging 79.2 points per game, 15.1 more than its opponents, and 41.6 rebounds per matchup.
- The Tide's 78.6 percent shooting from the free throw line ranks 16th nationally and first in the SEC.
- Alabama has won four of its first five SEC games for the first time since the 1996-97 season.
- Sunday's matchup will be the 58th between the Tide and Lady Volunteers, in the series that began in 1977.
- Tennessee won 42-straight games against Alabama from 1984 to 2016, however that streak ended in the second game of that SEC season with the Tide winning 54-46 in Tuscaloosa.
- That victory sparked a five-game winning streak against the Lady Vols, making the Tide the only program in the SEC and eighth in the nation to hold such a streak against Tennessee.
- In last season's installment on Rocky Top, Rennia Davis heaved up a 30-footer that went in at the buzzer to give the Lady Vols a two-point win.

ABOUT TENNESSEE
- Tennessee enters Sunday's game with an 8-2 overall mark and a 2-1 record in SEC play.
- Last time out, the Lady Vols were edged at home, 67-66, by Georgia after a huge 29-point third quarter by the Lady Bulldogs.
- Tennessee is led in scoring by Rae Burrell and Davis, who combine for 30.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.
- As a team, the Lady Vols are scoring 74.4 points per contest, 16.2 more than their opponents, while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor.
- Tennessee is under the direction of former Lady Vol standout Kellie Harper, who is in her second season as head coach.
- Harper played in Knoxville from 1995-99, winning three national championships.

LAST TIME OUT
- All five of Alabama's starters finished in double figures in the 86-78 victory over No. 14/14 Mississippi State.

- Megan Abrams had a dominant fourth quarter, scoring 11 of her 18 points in the final frame, while Jasmine Walker added 17 for the Tide to go along with 10 rebounds.
- Hannah Barber chipped in 12 points and a game-high six assists, and Ariyah Copeland rounded out the group with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
- Alabama outrebounded State, 44-34, capitalizing on second-chance points, 21-10.
- The Tide trailed the Bulldogs by one at the end of the opening quarter, however Alabama struggled shooting the ball in the second quarter, hitting two of its 16 attempts.
- At halftime, the Tide regrouped and scored 28 points in the third frame to close the gap.
- Alabama continued to outpace State, scoring nine more than the home Bulldogs in the final quarter for the comeback win.
- Alabama had five players score in double figures for the first time this season and first time since Feb. 18, 2020 against Georgia.
- Lewis had 20-plus points for the fourth time this season and 14th time in her career.
- Copeland and Walker recorded double-doubles for the third straight game together as they each had double-doubles against LSU and Vanderbilt.
- Alabama's 86 points were the most it has scored in the series since a 92-86 victory over Mississippi State in 2002.
- The Tide took 11 more attempts from the free throw line than the Bulldogs (21-10).
