A year ago, Wright was a quarterfinalist at the 2019 U.S. Women's Amateur, falling 2&1 to eventual champion Gabriela Ruffels. Wright marked the fourth Crimson Tide golfer to make it to the quarter finals in the last three years, joining Kristen Gillman (2018), Jiwon Jeon (2018) and Lauren Stephenson (2017, 2018).
Morard advanced to the round of 32 at the 2019 U.S. Women's Amateur, where she shared the first-round lead. The Huntsville, Ala., native and incoming freshman holds the state record for most Girls State Junior Championship titles. Last week, Morard captured her first professional victory at the 2020 Golf Capital of Tennessee Women's Open.

Alabama has had two U.S. Women's Amateur winners in the program history, all of which have come in the last seven seasons. Gillman picked up the honors in 2018, joining Crimson Tide All-American Emma Talley as Alabama's second U.S. Amateur champion. Talley took home the title at the 2013 tournament in Charleston, S.C. The title was also the second of Gillman's career, who won the 2014 U.S. Amateur at Glen Cove, N.Y., as a high schooler. Gillman marks just the sixth multiple U.S. Amateur champion since 1980.
Fans will be able to follow the action live on the Golf Channel from Aug. 5-9. The coverage commences with the round of 64 on Wednesday, Aug. 5 and concludes with the 36-hole final on Sunday, Aug. 9, of which the afternoon 18 will be broadcast.
