Alabama Women's Golf Sits in Three-way Tie for 15th at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

13th-ranked Crimson Tide one of 11 teams ranked among the top-25 in the nation in event
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Alabama women's golf team is in a three-way tie for 15th overall after the opening round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Friday afternoon. The Crimson Tide finished the day with a 27-over par 311 on the par-71, 6,221-yard Pete Dye Course at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
In a highly competitive field, the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide are one of 11 teams ranked among the top-25 in the nation in event. Seventh-ranked Wake Forest is the clubhouse leader after carding a 3-over par 287 to hold a five-stroke advantage over No. 12 UCLA (292).
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Freshman Caroline Curtis is leading the Tide after carding an opening round of 5-over par 76 Friday.
- Freshman Emilie Øverås and senior Kenzie Wright both notched 7-over par 78 in the first 18-holes and the duo will enter Saturday's second round in a tied for 58th.
- Juniors Polly Mack and Angelica Moresco rounded out the Tide golfers in a tied for 65th (79), respectively.
