Women's Tennis Travels to No. 34 Kentucky and No. 17 Vanderbilt for First SEC Road Matches

The Crimson Tide will play the Wildcats on Friday at 3 p.m. CT and the Commodores at 1 p.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team is ready for its first Southeastern Conference road matches of the year as it will travel to play No. 34 Kentucky in Lexington on Friday, March 6 at 3 p.m. CT, before taking on No. 17 Vanderbilt in Nashville on Sunday, March 8 at 1 p.m. CT.
The Crimson Tide (12-4, 0-2) is seeking its first SEC win of the season, while the Wildcats (8-5, 1-1 SEC) and Commodores (5-3, 1-1 SEC) both have one conference victory after opening play last weekend.
Series History
- Friday's matchup will be the 44th in series history with UK leading the all-time series 28-15. However the last time the two teams met was a year ago with Alabama taking the 4-1 win over the then-No. 18 Wildcats at home on March 8.
- The Commodores lead the series with Alabama 28-17, including last year's shutout 4-0 victory on March 10 in Tuscaloosa.

- Senior Alba Cortina Pou and freshman Isabella Harvison lead the team in singles play with each compiling an 11-2 record.
- Cortina Pou and freshman Sasha Gorchanyuk are tops on the squad with a 10-2 doubles mark in dual match play.
- In doubles, Harvison and junior Moka Ito moved up one spot to No. 49 in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings after putting together an 8-1 record.

- The Wildcats started off last weekend with a 4-3 victory over Texas A&M, before falling 4-1 to Ole Miss on Sunday. UK has one doubles pair nationally ranked in No. 27 Lesedi Jacobs and Akvile Parazinskaite.
- The Dores have one of the best singles players in the country in No. 18 Christina Rosca. VU also has Georgia Drummy who is No. 28 in the nation. As a doubles pair, the two are No. 22 in the latest Oracle/ITA Doubles Rankings.
